CHAPTER 13

Disillusioned

An increasing number of black Americans are becoming disillusioned with today’s far-left Democratic Party. But will they vote for Donald Trump in 2020? Black American hesitancy to vote for a Republican candidate for president is understandable but also regrettable when you consider the low regard in which black Americans are held by today’s progressive Democrats. All that radical Democrats seem to care about is black votes, not black success and black prosperity. And truthfully, the Republicans haven’t always been much better. That’s why black Americans stayed in the Democratic Party until Donald Trump came along.

Make no mistake about it: Today’s Democratic Party is no longer the Democratic Party of John F. Kennedy. If it was, Donald Trump probably would still be a Democrat as he was most of his life. Sadly, that pro-life, pro-God, low-tax, pro-jobs, pro–civil rights, pro-America party is long gone. It’s been taken over by left-wing radicals who want to flood our nation with illegals who take away jobs that otherwise would go to black Americans and other minorities.358 These new Democrats ardently support abortion mills run by Planned Parenthood that target black babies for destruction.359 And Democrats couldn’t care less if they double or triple the price of heating fuel and gasoline, a move that economically cripples poor black families and makes it all the more difficult to escape from poverty.360

Tragically, these new Democrats want nothing whatsoever to do with the God that millions of Americans, black, white, Asian, and Hispanic, worship in church each Sunday. Echoing the leaders of the French Revolution, these new radical Democrats have decided that God really doesn’t exist, or if he does, they no longer want or need him.361 For political expediency, Democrats choose the teachers union over the welfare of young black students when they fight against placing high-quality choice schools in poor black areas.362 Hypocritically, Democrats send their own children to private schools363 but gladly let poor black children attend inferior schools that destine them to failure in life. Democrats in big cities pass regulations and require spurious certifications that effectively bar black men and women from competing with government-sanctioned monopolies such as taxi service, barbershops, and beauty salons.

Today’s radical Democrats endanger all Americans but especially poor Americans. By opposing construction of a wall on our southern border to keep out drugs, drug dealers, illegal guns, MS-13 gang members, sex traffickers, and tens of thousands of unskilled illegal immigrants, they make it harder for poor black Americans to climb the economic ladder of success. The only logical conclusion is that the Democrats are more concerned about the welfare of illegal aliens than about the welfare of black Americans.

Unlike President John F. Kennedy, this new breed of Democrats unanimously opposes tax cuts364 and other commonsense economic measures that have been advanced by President Trump. It is these policies which have created the lowest black unemployment in American history and the highest wages for black Americans in decades.365 Unfortunately, the wage gap between black and white workers remains high
